A cold open to the show cuts back to earlier that day, as we find Eavan Maloney sitting up in the rafters of the arena, her feet dangling off the catwalk. The stagelights sway and move along their chains, the ring below tiny from this height.
Eavan Maloney: So, it appears I have the attention of this Coven group, for probably the night before they claim they’re bored of me and decide to move on to other challenges. Tonight, I take on Karla Jeffries in what’s sure to be a hard-hitting match. And by hard-hitting, I mean I’m knocking Jeffries out and she’s hitting the mat hard. See, here’s the thing. Three matches in four days, and I’m sitting right now oh for two and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let some unknown cunt sweep the weekend.
Eavan swings her legs and rocks back and forth on the rafter.
Eavan Maloney: I can hear The Coven now as they hear this, asking who the hell I am for dismissing their little team member, but I can also dismiss that with the fact she barely got out of the gates against The Eternal Fuckup, Katie Montes, last show. And while I’m sure people will be quick to remind me of my own misdeeds and that Montes has a win over me in our one and only contest, it was two years ago, get the fuck over it.
Eavan pulls herself up and leans into the camera, smirking.
Eavan Maloney: That’s the past, which like the people I spoke of, it doesn’t matter. What matters is tonight, Karla. I am going to take out all my aggressions out on you, and like a good little puppy, you will take it and keep wagging your stupid little tail. I was hand-chosen to be in DPW. To be part of the ONLY stable that matters here. You and your little gang of misfit toys will be broken and left at the bottom of the box, forgotten. See you later, Jeffries.

Clearly trying to mess with Eavan's focus, Marissa Viskan interfered from ringside at every possible opportunity, tripping Eavan, pulling the ropes down as she hit them, etc. Finally, the referee had enough, and kicked Marissa out, yelling at her to go back to the locker room. The match itself was more even than a lot of people might have expected, as Jeffries showed just how much she'd learned working with Marissa and LeeAnn as much as she had. Eavan finally proved to be too much for her, though, slipping out of an attempted suplex to hit The Last Word and get the pin at 12:07.
WINNER: Eavan Maloney

Backstage, the camera focuses in on The Coven in their locker room, Marissa and LeeAnn talking as LeeAnn sits comfortably on the back of the giant Belphegor as he does pushups. Marissa looks LIVID, a sneer on her face as she slams one of the locker doors shut.
"Are we really going to let this jackass come walking into DPW like she owns the place, shit-talk Karla, and then make us look like shit? Talk to Lasher, Ma. I don't give a good goddamn if she's his girl or not: I wanna give her the welcome she should've gotten when she first arrived."
LeeAnn sighed, rolling her eyes calmly as she barely registered the monster beneath her. "Marissa. Calm down. Maloney's not worth your anger. This is what she does. She comes in like a house of fire, talks a big game, then either gets bored or doesn't get her way and she leaves. Give her a month, she'll be gone from here too."
"I can't let her disrespect us like this though! I just want to grab her by that smarmy face of hers and slam her head in a locker!" Marissa growled, pacing back and forth like a caged tiger.
"Sigh. B? Stop." LeeAnn said, as Belphegor literally stopped in mid-pushup at her command, so she could hop off of his back. "You have to trust me, Rissa. This. This outburst of yours. This is how you give her power. Step back, take her for what she's worth... which isn't much... and this too shall pass. Focus on the here and now. We've almost broken Sex & Violence completely, Silver is gone. Hayashi is retired. Belphegor's about to crush Donohue. We're cutting them down, one by one, and we can't afford to lose our focus on that NOW."
Belphegor hopped to his feet, frightening quickness and agility for a man that large. "Donohue... will... be... annihilated." He growled, an eerie monotone to his rarely-heard voice. He cracked his knuckles, giving a sick grin to his stablemates. "He's leaving tonight on a stretcher. Only question is... whether the ambulance is taking him to the hospital or to the morgue."
----------------------------------------------------------
What Sex & Violence had likely been hoping would be a shot at revenge turned into complete carnage, as Belphegor savaged Lash Donohue, continually throwing him into the barbed-wire-laced cage, and pushing him against it face-first as hard as he could. Donohue attempted to come back several times, fighting back valiantly, but it was futile: the giant beat him down over and over, until finally (mercifully) planting him into the mat with The Ninth Circle for the pin at 6:49
WINNER: Belphegor
------------------------------------------------------------
Seemingly more driven than ever, Katie Montes took the fight to Richard Dweck, taking his best and coming back for more. Bolstered by the presence of Mia Hayashi at ringside, giving moral and managerial support, Montes seemed to have an answer to anything Dweck threw at her, eventually blocking a heart-punch attempt, and hitting The Dark Ride for the pin at 9:26
WINNER: Katie Montes
Katie gets off of Dweck after the pin, and the crowd is very split on her. She leans down across the bottom rope and asks for a microphone, which she is granted.
Katie: “Lara, hon? Come out here, please? Mia, get into the ring with me?”
With that infuriatingly cocky grin that people either loved or hated (there was NO middle ground with this one), Mia rolled into the ring, happily skipping around the ring in her black dress and matching leather jacket. Practically glomping onto her newest friend and charge, she waited for Katie's other half to make her appearance.
"Bang Go The Bells" by Babylon AD hit over the soundsystem them, as the girl dubbed "America's Sweetheart" walked out onto the ramp, clad in tight light blue jeans, clunky black combat boots, a black tee with the word "RESIST" written on the front, and her dad's old leather jacket over that. Grinning at her love and her best friend in the ring together, she walked down the aisle, quickly getting into the ring to hug Mia and give Katie a little kiss. "What's going on, babe? Aside from another big win, that is."
Katie: "You remember what we talked about before this place was an official thing? About you having plans for me?"
There's a hint of a smile from the autistic Katie as she looks right into her girlfriend's eyes.
Katie: "I think it's time we enact those plans. I think I've done enough to earn having those plans put into motion, since I've only lost once here.”
Lara: "You know? My girl's got a god damn point."
Lara smirked, pointing to the back.
Lara: "Far as I can tell, the only person here with a 4-1 record is Alex Brody. So, with this win right here? Katie has just become the only person in DPW with a 5-1 record. Guess what that means, bitches? That means this sexy thing right here is the number one motherfucking contender. Rick? I love you, man. You know that. But I want that title in Sex & Violence. And this girl has busted her ass for several years now to earn this opportunity. And this time… we’re not waiting around to be recognized. We are DEMANDING what she’s earned.”
Katie: "Yeah, what she said. Look, I came here with the intent of becoming World Champion. I came to DPW hungry, and I've stayed that. Even through Sam Tolson powerbombing me through the ring. Even though all the bad PR. Even through my own personal demons. I've stayed hungry for a world title."
Katie twitches her head a little, a fiery look in her eyes as she stares down the hard cam.
Katie: "I'm hungry to the point that I'm finally tired of waiting around, expecting my chance to finally rest in my lap. With all due respect to who was in this spot before, I'm reaching up and taking my shot. This is my spot now."
Mia: “Tyler Grey might’ve screwed my back up beyond belief, but The Coven isn’t getting rid of me that easily.”
Mia chimed in, glomping onto Katie again.
Mia: “I’m still here, managing my posse now. And Katie here? She’s the real damn deal. I plan on managing her right to the top of the mountain here in DPW, and I think she can do it. I don’t care how damn big Rick Dickulous is… all it takes to chop down a giant tree is one person with the patience to do it, and a very sharp axe.”
Katie: "And trust me, Ricky-Nicky-Dicky-and-Done... I've got all that and then some. I went to college, and I waited for my diploma so I've got the patience. And thanks to my Georgia Tech learnins', I'm sharp as the ax I need to chop you down."
Katie stares down the hard cam more, with the other two looking at her confused.
Mia: "...you're a nerd."
Katie looks to them, her look immediately changing to a playful one.
Katie: "Sure am!"
Lara: “Let me close this shit out here, folks.”
Lara said, walking over to Katie and Mia, putting her arms around them.
Lara: “Sex & Violence is more than a stable. It’s more than some gimmick. We’re friends, we’re family, we trust and love each other. Even Tommy and Johnny’s crazy asses. And if one of us wants a title? You best believe the rest of us are gonna support them 100%. It’s Katie’s time, people… and we’re gonna be here to make damn sure she gets a fair shot at it.”

The mixed tag match was far more brutal than anyone expected, even given the obvious grudge between Wolfe and Sanada. Wolfe grabbed a chair early in the match, and held it for Kimi to hit Azumi with a vicious Van Daminator, that knocked her to the outside, stunned and nearly unconcious. The two used that opening to double team Sanada as much as possible, although he unbelievably began to truly fight them both off! As he prepared to hit Wolfe with a superkick, however, Kimi ran in from behind and chop-blocked him, giving Chris enough time to hit a Blackout for the quick pin at 16:21
WINNERS: Chris Wolfe and Kimi Smalls
After the bell, as "B.M.F." by Rick Ross was playing, Chris called for the mic, catching it as it was tossed to him before walking over to lay an arm across Kimi's shoulders."What you all saw tonight? Was just the beginning. Me and my girl? We're done being stepping stones for other people. From now on? We're takin' all you motherfuckers out, by any means necessary."
Kimi couldn't help but smirk as she nodded, jutting out her outside hip. He pulled the mic closer to her, "you're damn right, babe. You see, before, I was just having fun. But this whole thing where I am losing to obviously lesser competitors, I'm done. Not for me anymore."
"This girl right here?" Chris continued, resting his head against Kimi's slightly as he talked. "She may look sweet and cute... but don't get it twisted, this hard-ass bitch came within MOMENTS of beating Tommy Krule in a death match. I watched her having tacks pulled outta her damn back with a SMILE on her face. Does that sound like someone who should be a bottom feeder here? HELL no. And me? I took the owner of this COMPANY to the limit in the first VBMT. I'm 30 years old and have held tag gold in 4 different countries. I am the best goddamn wrestler in the world today, and I ain't standing by anymore with a stupid smile on my face watching people not even in my LEAGUE get the opportunities I should be getting."
While it was clear Chris had more to say, he was cut off then by the opening to Parkway Drive's "The Void", as "The Wild Stallion" Owen Leroux walked out onto the stage, in street clothes and his mask, Mary Williams beside him.
"Oh shut your damn mouth, Wolfe. Everyone's sick to death of hearing about how great you are, how talented you are, how HELD BACK you are. Nobody controls your destiny but YOU. If you're not happy? Stop making excuses and change it. You think you were making some kind of example of us? You thought wrong." He said, handing the mic to Mary.
"It didn't exactly work, now did it?" Maryanne tilted her head. "I mean... no one is talking about you. Unfortunately, no one even cares that it was us that you tried to make an example of." She shrugged, "because you went for the wrong people. As you haven't seemed to notice, you aren't the only ones around here with a greater number in the L column. We're not exactly top of the food chain around here, either. But instead of whining and attacking our friends, we're actually working harder and trying to actually get somewhere around here."
"But hey..." Owen threw in, "You two wanna be big shots? Come beat us face to face. We're here, right now, to challenge the two of you to a tag team match at Vengeance. Because after what you pulled with us? The two of us are dying to be the ones to shut your mouths."
Before even giving Chris a chance to say anything, Kimi swiped the microphone and walked toward the ropes. "You think getting a match against us is going to shut us up? You'd actually have to beat us for that to happen, and everyone here knows who the superior couple is here." She made a face as a "Stallion" chant broke out in the crowd. "Oh shut up you idiots. Like you know anything about anything."
"Good to see that mouth's good for things that can be shown on network TV." Owen said with a smirk, glaring at the two of them. "Then I guess we'll see you two at Vengeance."
Hearing the crowd even more in favor of Owen and Mary, Kimi continued screaming at them. It was mostly more "shut up" and "you wouldn't know talent if it knocked you on your ass."

With a potent combination of youth, power, and anger, Adrianna dominated LeeAnn for the majority of the match, with the older woman struggling to maintain an advantage for any length of time. It all came apart though, when Tyler Grey walked down the aisle, and began stalking Mia Hayashi around ringside. Spotting this, Adrianna let go of LeeAnn and began to leave the ring to go after him... only for the devious LeeAnn to use that distraction to her advantage, hopping onto Adrianna's back, and using the tape on her wrists to assist with a vicious chokehold, only letting go once the referee had officially declared Adrianna unconcious at 14:50
WINNER: LeeAnn Viskan
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The arena went completely dark, before quickly being enveloped in a dark green light and fog, as Queen Cthulhu rose from the stage, eyes laser-focused on nothing but the ring. She made her way down the aisle, not even sparing a glance to anyone in the arena.
"A lovesick puppy. Wanting to 'save' a girl he has no chance with. How pathetically sad." The raspy, bitter-sounding voice of Queen Cthulhu proclaimed as she took the microphone, ragged green hood pulled up partially over the grotesque mask she wore.
"Kyle Smalls... is a man to be pitied. Because he has truthfully done nothing to warrant the punishment he will be receiving tonight. His only crime is believing in someone who no longer exists. But an example must be made, unfortunately. Just as I will show at Vengeance against my poor Samantha, sacrifices must be made, in order to do the work you are meant to do. And once I crush Smalls, and then Tolson-Anderson... that's when hell on earth truly begins. THAT... is when The Queen will begin to bring justice and punishment to everyone on this roster that deserves it. And when I'm done? Perhaps I will go and finish the task I originally began. Alex Brody is dead. Long.... live... the... Queen."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was clear from the beginning that Kyle was not able to get himself to fight his opponent. He'd wrestle her, sure... but he was not going to fight Alex, no matter what was wrong with her. And that gave Queen Cthulhu an immediate advantage, as she threw the most vicious strikes at him that she could muster, while he worked harder at defending himself and attempting to take her down than he did at fighting fire with fire.
Kyle knew that he had promised Alex that he would do absolutely whatever it took to bring her back. She had mentioned literally beating her unconcious, just so that she could wake back up as Alex, and get rid of Queen Cthulhu. Possibly for good, he wasn't sure how it worked. All he knew was that he missed Alex, and he didn't want to just wait it out until he got her back. He did his best at defending himself, but he had never really been in an actual fight. Fighting back wasn't exactly something he was best at. Between wrestling and action scenes, everything was highly choreographed for him. This was beyond his skill set, and he was fading fast. He didn't know what to do.
Sensing a moment of hesitation there, Cthulhu leaped at him, aiming her right knee for the underside of his chin. This wasn't trying to win. This was trying to put him down. To prove a point.
He was definitely weakened by that blow, but it was enough for him to attempt to actually put up somewhat of an offense. It was too late, though. "Alex, please!" he grabbed her arms. "I know that you're in there somewhere."
After several brutal forearm smashes, she grabbed him by both wrists, preparing for the final blow. She looked him in the eyes, and said only three words: "Alex... Is... DEAD." before absolutely obliterating him with The End, covering him for the pin at 10:31
WINNER: Queen Cthulhu
