MASSIVE CHANGES TO DPW!
As many of you know, I got my start running efeds that were small, self-contained, and completely unreliant on social media. Part of my goal with DPW from the start was getting back to this. But I realized along the way that I had also begun allowing, adopting, and even encouraging a lot of the ideas and behavior that had begun turning me off of wedding to begin with.
So, in a moment of desperation, I contemplated giving up e-fedding completely, but talked to my co-mods and instead decided to go back to our roots.
DPW will continue, but will be undergoing huge changes.
1. As of this coming week, we will be completely done with Twitter. Most of our characters will be deactivating their accounts and playing solely on DPW's official board.
2. If your character remains in DPW, his/her continuity will not combine with any other fed. Things you do in other feds will have no bearing on the character in DPW, and vice versa.
3. In an attempt to cultivate the environment we had originally intended, divisions and titles will be separated by gender, with the only exception being the tag team titles.
4. We will allow players to choose between playing as an original character OR a "real" wrestler, although for that you must show proof that you can write well as that wrestler.
We need to know immediately who will be staying with us, and who won't. We understand that there are huge changes, so no hard feelings will be held toward anyone choosing to step down. The number of players staying will determine whether or not we go through with this coming PPV, as if too many on the card are leaving, it will cause more of a general reset. Please respond via reply to this post or Twitter DM (@dpwwrestling) as soon as you read this, and let me know if you are staying or leaving.
For those choosing to stay? We promise a more laid-back, drama-free experience far more like what you see when watching wrestling on TV. We hope to see you!
